4. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Contract Performance (UK GDPR Art 6(1)(b)) — We process your CV/resume and job preferences to provide the career intelligence service you signed up for.
  • Consent (UK GDPR Art 6(1)(a), India DPDP Sec 6) — We only enable analytics tracking and marketing communications with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate Interest (UK GDPR Art 6(1)(f)) — We use anonymised/PII-redacted data for AI quality monitoring to ensure our service performs correctly.

5. AI Processing & Automated Decision-Making

QuantumCareer uses large language models (LLMs) to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation materials. Your CV/resume content and job descriptions are sent to third-party AI providers for this purpose.

Important: We do not use AI to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. AI-generated outputs are tools to assist your job search — you have full control over what to submit.

We apply PII redaction to data sent to our observability platform to minimise unnecessary exposure of personal data.

10. Responsible AI & Automated Processing

QuantumCareer uses AI responsibly and transparently:

  • Human in the loop: All AI-generated documents are presented to you for review before use. We never submit applications on your behalf without your explicit action.
  • No automated decisions: AI outputs are advisory tools only. No hiring, scoring, or filtering decisions are made by AI that affect your legal rights or employment outcomes.
  • Quality monitoring: We continuously monitor AI output quality using deterministic scoring (no personal data used for training). PII is redacted from quality monitoring traces.
  • No model training: Your personal data is not used to train or fine-tune AI models. We use commercial LLM APIs that process your data only for your specific request.
  • Bias awareness: Our strategic analysis includes market-aware compliance checks to prevent discriminatory content in generated documents (e.g., photo/DOB requirements vary by jurisdiction).

We use PostHog (EU-hosted, eu.posthog.com) for product analytics. PostHog is only activated after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.

We use Clerk for authentication, which sets essential session cookies required for the service to function. These cannot be disabled.

We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser header. If your browser sends DNT, we will not enable analytics regardless of cookie consent.
