1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QuantumCareer platform at quantumcareer.co.uk ("Service"), operated by QuantumLayer Platform Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16381947), with registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
QuantumCareer is a career intelligence platform that uses AI to help you:
- Discover and search job opportunities from multiple sources
- Generate tailored resumes/CVs, cover letters, and interview preparation materials
- Track job applications and manage your career pipeline
- Analyse job market data and salary intelligence
The Service uses large language models (LLMs) from third-party providers to generate documents. All AI-generated content is advisory — you are responsible for reviewing and approving all outputs before use.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
- One person per account. Accounts are non-transferable.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for 12 months.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive content
- Submit resumes or applications containing false information
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
- Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service beyond published APIs
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful content
- Violate any applicable laws, including employment and data protection regulations
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs commercially
5. AI-Generated Content
- Your responsibility: All AI-generated documents (resumes, cover letters, prep kits) are tools to assist you. You must review all content before submitting it to employers. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of applications you submit.
- No guarantees: We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. Career outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.
- No fabrication: Our system is designed to extract and reframe information from your CV — not to invent credentials, experience, or metrics. However, AI systems can occasionally produce errors. Always verify.
- No automated decisions: We do not make hiring decisions or perform automated profiling that has legal effects on you.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
- Free tier: Limited pipeline runs per month. Paid tier ("Execution Pro"): unlimited runs with priority processing.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time via Settings.
- Refunds: We offer a 14-day cooling-off period for new subscriptions in accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions honour the original price until renewal.
7. Intellectual Property
- Your content: You retain all rights to your CV/resume, profile information, and personal data. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
- Generated outputs: AI-generated documents (tailored resumes, cover letters, prep kits) are created for your personal use. You own the outputs and may use them freely for job applications.
- Our platform: The Service, including its software, design, algorithms, and branding, is owned by QuantumLayer Platform Ltd. Certain technologies are subject to U.S. provisional patent filings.
- Feedback: If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use it to improve our products without obligation to you.
8. Data Protection
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Key points:
- We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.
- Your CV/resume content is sent to third-party LLM providers for processing (with your consent).
- You may export or delete all your data at any time via Settings.
- We comply with UK GDPR, US CCPA, and India DPDP Act 2023.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.
10. Termination
- You may close your account at any time via Settings > Data & Privacy.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
- On termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (30-day grace period).
- Sections 5, 7, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
